27 May 2012-New Delhi: Social Democratic Party on India candidate Maulana Mohammed Yusuf filed nomination for contesting bye election in Yemmiganur assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Bye election is being held on 12th June in 18 assembly constituencies in the state due to resignation of YSR supported MLAs. A rally of around 3000 members including ladies accompanied Mohammed Yusuf to the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer Adoni, the Returning Officer. SDPI stages protest opposing boycott on Muslims in Bagalkota
Bhagalkote (Karnataka): Social Democratic Party of India organized a protest opposing boycott on Muslims by Sanghparivar at Dhavaleshvara village in Madhola Taluk of Bagalkota.
The protesters, who took rally from Tippu Sulthan Circle in Sindhagi, passed through main streets of the city and submitted a memorandum to the governor through Tahashildar.

SDPI DEMANDS END ALL EPISODES OF HAJ SUBSIDY DRAMA
New Delhi: The Social Democratic Party of India, (SDPI), while responding to the Supreme Court’s direction to the Union government to do away with in the next 10 years the subsidy given to Hajj, has demanded ending all the episodes of the drama including enhanced flight rights imposed by the Air India during haj season. This doing away with the subsidy, which in fact is not benefitting Hajj pilgrims but propping up India’s sick official carrier Air India, will help throw away the appeasement charge levelled by forces inimical to Muslims.
